IPL
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™) is a new light-based cosmetic technology. It uses highly controlled flashes of light energy to treat conditions of the skin, and to penetrate beneath the skin to reach underlying disorders. Nd:YAG
Among the newer aesthetic applications, the Neodymium Doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser works within a light spectrum that is able to penetrate below the skin without harming the outer skin layer. Consequently, it is used to effectively eliminate deeper imperfections such as unsightly varicose and spider veins - and like IPL™ technology, without cutting or needles.
